Professional Biography: Dr. Dennis E. Newton, a native Texan, has been practicing in Northwest Dallas since 1975. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy after serving for 8 years. Since that time, he has participated heavily in teaching at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Department of Dermatology, helping with the residency training and the clinics, as well as having both residents and medical students at his office on a weekly basis. He has been the President of the Dallas Dermatological Society, the Texas Dermatological Society, Chief of Staff of the RHD Memorial Medical Center, and the President of the Metrocrest Medical Foundation. He has been listed in the "Best Doctors in Dallas" since 1992 (and almost every year since then), "Best Doctors in America" in 1996, 1998 and 2004. He is in a partnership with two other Dermatologists, and they all attribute their success to three reasons: a strong personal attentiveness to every patient's problem; constant upgrading of their knowledge base, equipment, and techniques by attending innumerable conferences, seminars, discussion courses and programs; and insistence on the highest medical professionalism. In 1997, Dr. Newton co-authored a book on skin health entitled Looking Forever Young, and also has been on numerous radio and TV discussion programs. He enjoys many leisure activities including tennis, reading, fishing, family, camping, hiking, and is active in his local church.
